Differential Diagnosis

A differential diagnosis is displayed for a cystic tumor with grade II nuclei, nuclear grooves, signet ring cells, 3 mitoses/10 HPF, and > 3 layers of lining cells, in a woman aged 44. A probability of 50% or more suggests likely diagnosis.

Let us assume you omitted nuclear grooves and signet ring cells in this case. The differential diagnosis would be as shown on the next page.
